A person who is a spiritual
healer is one who helps others by healing them or helping them heal themselves.
It could be healing of an ailment of the physical body, the mind, soul, and the
spirit. Ailments may range from a bad headache to cancerous tumors and ailments
of the mind may be from anxiety to paranoia. More often than not, spiritual
healing is often confused with ailments of the mind as there are some healers
that diagnose some mental ailments as being possessed by evil spirits. The
healing activities of the spiritual healer depend on his or her beliefs or
religion.
Another term for spiritual
healing is “energy healer.” Among the people who practice spiritual healing is
a yogic healer, reiki master, a shaman or what is commonly referred to as a medicine
man, and many others. The fundamental philosophy of spiritual healing is that
the level of an individual’s life force or “chi,” is reflected as the person’s
happiness and good health. When the level is high, then the person is in good
health and is happy. On the other hand, when it is low, the person may not be
feeling so good.
If you are interested to learn spiritual healing,
you should be aware that there are various techniques used by healers in order
to strengthen an individual’s life force. Those techniques may include prayer,
chants, meditation, yoga, crystal therapy, reflexology, and aromatherapy among
others. There are some healers that consider their services as secular of not
related to any specific religion, their practices are originally based on
doctrines and beliefs by religions like Hinduism, Gnosticism, Buddhism, and
others related to them.
The laying of hands and prayer
are usually associated with Christian healers but there are some followers of
Christianity who believe that the Holy Bible denies the very existence of a
life force that is neutral as the Bible generally classifies life force as
either being good or evil -- holy or unholy. Spiritual healers from Asia accept
the concept of reincarnation and generally use meditation as part of their
practices.
A spiritual healer can heal
people who are:
· Feeling like they have lost their rest for life or are feeling depressed
· Overwhelmed by emotions like fear
· Suffering from extreme stress in their personal and professional life
· Suffering from ailments or illnesses that keep coming back
· Unable to find the right path
· Feeling like they are in unfulfilling relationships
Those are just some of the
problems that a spiritual healer usually helps with. Most healers believe that
the power to heal already exists within the individual. All a person needs to
do is to meditate and get to know one’s true self and learn of his or her main
purpose.
Spiritual healing is a natural
process and is non-invasive. It is also very compatible with other types of
medical treatment. The practice of healing consists of self-discovery and
establishing the connection to an individual’s inner light or inner energy. It
is basically the process of guiding people as to how they can tap into their
unlimited energy the right way so that the balance of the “inner energy” or
“life force” balances.
